DIY Lip Scrub Recipe That’s Short and Sweet

By 360&5, Dec 01 2020

Just in case that you haven't known about exfoliating your lips before – you are in good company. When it comes to our lips, we think about hydrating them and layering balm all over them.

But guess what? We need to exfoliate your lips consistently for those kissable lips that look so good on their own and even better with lipsticks. Whether it’s genetics or the sun or the air-conditioner in offices and malls, our lips get dry and chapped over time. But a lip scrub can be a fuss-free solution to that. It removes dead skin and allows your lips to receive nutrients from balms and other lip products for a healthy look!

And the best thing? Lip scrubs are not only super easy to make, they are also every bit of fun because of the customisation that you can have. Some say you can’t have your cake and eat it but you certainly can have your scrub and lick it!
We share with you a short and sweet, and lips-smacking lip scrub formulation that you can make in under 1 minute.

The Honey Sugar Lip Scrub

Ingredients needed:

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coconut/almond oil

Step 1: Combine all the ingredients into a bowl. Mix well until you have a paste that can be easily spread.

Step 2: Take a pea-sized amount and slowly spread it over your lips. Apply a light pressure and gently massage into your lips in circular motion. This allows dead skin on your lips to be sloughed off without irritating lips.

Step 3: Rinse your lips with lukewarm water and store excess in the refrigerator for future use.

Voila, rediscovering beauty and taking care of yourself is a delicious experience!
